Just a Typical Wednesday

Well I get a call from my husband last night letting me know when he's coming home. This is kinda bitter sweet for us. Of course I want him home and we all miss him, but it'll be a pay-cut at least a first. He'll go back to his regular job when he gets home and will just have to get back in the swing of things. The good thing about him coming home is all those "Honey-Dos" I've been piling up will finally get done. After getting over the initial "Will we be okay on finances?" I'm excited he's coming home.
So now down to business. Since hubby has been gone for almost 2 months the house has kinda turned into girl central with just me and Kadee here. Not to mention it's cluttered up quite a bit with lack of time or energy to devote to straightening up every night since I'm here dealing with a 1 year old all by myself. I got up this morning at 7.............hit snooze and got up at 7:45........hit snooze again and was woken up by Kadee at 8.  I did get out of bed at 8 and got started.
Master bedroom is all clean top to bottom except for the floors which are currently sitting with baking soda waiting for me to vacuum. I figured they needed a good airing out so I'm gonna let it sit for a while and just close the door to keep the little one out of there.
I normally work my way through the house so the bathroom would be next but I find, since I'm by myself, it is much easier to clean the bathroom while my daughter is taking a bath. She's out of my way and reach of my rags and cleaners to spill everywhere, but still in the room to see and talk to mommy. I only wished I had discovered this little trick sooner. So for now we'll skip the bath and move on to her room.
I've purged the toy-box, dressers, bookshelf, and closet. We only had one casualty too, my beloved Beauty & The Beast snow globe. It was knocked off the shelf by a book and broke into 1000 pieces on the hardwood floor. I quickly grabbed my daughter and put her in her highchair. I put the highchair in her room so I could clean up the mess and finish going through everything in her room while she could still see me. I popped in a movie and gave her a bottle and lo and behold she fell asleep. I took that as my cue for a break.
I am amazed at the amount of garage sale and throw out stuff I've found this go through the house. We haven't brought anything into the house since the last garage sale and yet I've got just as much stuff if not more since the last one. Some of it is baby items that my daughter has outgrown or doesn't really use much anymore so that accounts for part of it but the rest was there the last time I went through the house I guess I just thought I still needed it then.
I will tackle the bathroom tonight during bath time, finish up laundry, vacuum the master bedroom, and I think that will be it for today. I'll do the front of the house tomorrow. Plenty of time for me to get ready for Jason to be home and get everything picked out for garage sale. I have a few garage sale items to clean up and get ready to sell which I'll work on next week. My goal is to get as much clutter gone as possible so when we move (possibly in the next few months) there wont be as much to move. I hate moving boxes of stuff we don't want or need to a new house for them to sit around and take up space.
This is a photo of my daughter just for the heck of it. Isn't she adorable? My daughter has woke up from her nap now so I guess it's time to get back to work so I can relax this evening.

Power of Positiveness

My Perfectly Posh sponsor recently issued a challenge to all the consultants on her team.
This was the challenge:
Start each day/week with a POSITIVE affirmation. This can be a bible verse or a positive statement for you to apply to yourself. etc: "My life is filled with success and fortune" the key again with positive affirmations, is to BELIEVE it. You can recite an affirmation all day long, but if you don't "feel it" or Believe it, it's just a bunch of words. When I recite an affirmation, I close my eyes, see it, and recite it with intent.  Replace your negative thoughts with a positive affirmation and see how your week changes.

Monday: Create a positive affirmation or find one online
Tuesday:make a list of 20 or more negative words & then cross it out with a single line and replace with a BOLD POSITIVE word! anytime you have a negative thought or speak negatively about yourself, immediately turn it into a POSITIVE.
Wednesday:Find pictures in magazines, catalogs or online of what SUCCESS looks like to you.
Thursday:Write down your Goals for the Month & put them in a place you will see them daily.
Friday: Take all of the above and create a VISION BOARD or GOAL POSTER

I'm all about challenges, especially if they have a contest attached. I just wanted to share some of the photos I used to describe what success meant to me.

Debt Freedom pretty much sums up success to me. When we get all our debts paid off I know I'll feel so much better. Stress free. We are working on it slowly but surely. We have set up our budget and put our debts in order form smallest to largest. We've already knocked one credit card off by paying it off in full a week or so ago. Even though was just a store card it felt so amazing to pay it off and be done with it. I nearly threw out the whole file but then I realized I better keep the paperwork for a at least a year just to make sure nothing comes back on us.

Home ownership also shows success in my eyes. Since you all know how much of a Pinterest addict I am you should know I've planned out every aspect of our "Dream home". That is one of the reasons we're working so hard to pay off all our debts so we can start saving up to build our dream home. I can't wait. I have my house plans picked out and everything. The house plans were shown in a previous post.
I thought this picture fit considering Perfectly Posh is a spa grade pampering product company. I hope one day I can bathe in my money...lol.

This picture to me just means peace. With success I feel like it would be a much more peaceful life. No more worries about money. I love this picture so much I've thought about printing it off to put on a large scale canvas to hand up in the house somewhere.  It would look great on the wall in our master bedroom in the dream home.
I love how the girl in the picture looks so carefree and happy. Although I do have my moments of feeling that, I think when I reach the level of success I want to I will feel this way all the time.

This picture is a little more of reward than success. I hope that when we get more debts paid off we can purchase a minivan for me. I have a nice car now, but if we have another baby there wont be room. I need more room in the trunk for things for vendor events and parties as well. I'm hoping to trade up sometime next year.

I loved working on this challenge because it gave me visuals for what I was aiming for. Success is different for different people. Success is something you have to continually work on to keep but I feel like once I reach some of the goals described in these pictures that I will be there and then will just start maintaining that success.  My next project is to set up a 5 year plan on attaining this success. I love Perfectly Posh and everything it's done for me in just the few months I've been a part of the company. I can't wait to see where I'll be in a year from now with it. If anyone wants more information on the company you can contact me at AllisonPOSH996@gmail.com or visit my site Perfectly Posh by Allison.

My New Pinterest Project

I've been a Pinterest addict since I found out it existed. Here is my Pinterest Profile. I have 95 boards and almost 5,000 pins. I've decided I need to start making some of the projects I've pinned so I started with this one. Magnetic Makeup Board It was originally pinned from Laura's Thoughts.

This is my version of it. Sorry I don't have more pictures. It was made with a flea market frame that I painted, sheet metal my dad cut for me (Thanks dad), and fabric. Pretty simple, just cover the sheet metal with the fabric and put in the frame. Glue magnet to the back of your makeup (use hot glue so you can reuse the magnets after your makeup is empty, hot glue will peel off). The plastic container holding my lip glosses and eye liners is actually a clear container that had band-aids in it at one time. It's been in the cabinet and it's perfect for this. The original pin used prescription pill containers that she painted.

I'm quite pleased with it. Now to decide on my next project. We could possibly be moving soon so I don't want to start any major projects but I can defiantly decide which will be my next project.

I've also pinned several recipes that I'm going to try. The first recipe I've made from Pinterest is "Crack Bread". Originally pinned from Plain Chicken.

Here is the recipe. No pictures of mine sorry but I'll share the original Pinterest pictures of it.

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pulls (a.k.a. Crack Bread)

1 unsliced loaf of (round is preferable) sourdough bread
8-12 oz cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
3 oz bag Oscar Mayer Real Bacon bits
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp Ranch dressing mix

Using a sharp bread knife cut the bread going both directions. Do not cut through the bottom crust. Place slices of cheese in between cuts. Sprinkle bacon bits on bread, making sure to get in between cuts. Mix together butter and Ranch dressing mix. Pour over bread. Wrap in foil the entire loaf in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

It was amazing, and very easy. I've also tackled these gems. Bacon and Eggs To Go and this Bacon and Eggs Cupcakes

Bacon and Egg Savory Cupcakes Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
16 slices bacon
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
8 eggs
Salt and pepper, if desired
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook bacon over medium heat about 4 minutes or until cooked but not crisp, turning once. (It will continue to cook in the oven.) Set aside.
2. Spray 8 jumbo muffin cups or 8 (6-oz) glass custard cups with cooking spray. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Place 1 biscuit in each muffin cup, pressing dough three-fourths of the way up sides of cups. Place 2 bacon slices in each biscuit cup, and crack an egg over each. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until egg whites are set. Run a small knife around cups to loosen. Serve immediately.
While I wouldn't call them "recipes" as much as a technique, they were both really good and very simple. I'm all about simple when it comes to cooking since with the little one I don't have much time to spend in the kitchen slaving over supper (because you know normally I would).

I'm looking forward to making many more Pinterest projects in the future. Any suggestions of something I should do?
